Satyananda Yoga Research Centre, a name to be reckoned within the field of yoga and holistic living was founded in 1983 by Yogacharya Sri. N.Vijayaraghavan who is the disciple of the great saint Swami Satyananda Saraswathy. The centre was registered as a charitable trust in 1995. During the last two and a half decades of its existence more than five lakhs of people have got training in yoga from our various centers. The centre has a full fledged library consisting of very rare books in yoga , Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Reiki, Philosophy and other spiritual books. The centre has conducted all Kerala Yogasana Championships on four occasions.
Satyananda had taken yoga classes for the BAMS students of Kottakkal Ayurveda college and other educational institutions for many years. The centre also entrusted with the responsibility of giving yoga therapy classes for the inpatients of Kottakkal Arayvaidya Sala.
Satyananda was recognized by UGC for taking classes in Calicut University in association with Physical education department from 2003. This was the only institution to get such a recognition in Kerala. |
